Overview

The Rajendra Vilas Palace is a heritage hotel perched atop the picturesque Chamundi Hills - the abode of the presiding deity of Mysore. The original palace stands at an elevation of about 1,000 ft, and was used as a summer palace by the Wodeyars of Mysore. One of the descendants of this royal dynasty converted the palace into a hotel after India gained independence.
